I’m here for realistic vacations, comfortable hotels, family-friendly plans, budget-conscious choices, road trips, cruises, and the little details that can make or break a trip — parking, walking distance, room comfort, food nearby, heat, crowds, and whether a place is actually worth the money.
The goal is simple: help families, bigger travelers, and normal working people plan trips that are fun, practical, and not miserable.
My Story
I started Fat Dad Travel because most travel content does not feel like it was made for people like me.
A lot of travel sites make every destination look effortless, glamorous, and perfectly filtered. But real travel is not always like that. Real travel means figuring out if the hotel is too far from everything, whether the walk is going to be brutal, if the parking situation is a nightmare, if the room will actually be comfortable, and how to have a great trip without draining your bank account.
Fat Dad Travel is my place to share honest, practical travel help from the perspective of a regular dad who loves going places but wants the trip to actually make sense. Around here, I care less about looking fancy and more about finding trips that are comfortable, fun, affordable-ish, and worth the effort.
